SWAP is Society for the Welfare of Animals Protection. Founded in March 2003, SWAP is working to improve the status and welfare of animals in Nigeria through the support of individuals and corporate organizations.
We believe that all animals should be treated with respect and compassion. We believe that all animals have a right to existence as much as humans do - clean water, good shelter, veterinary care etc.
SWAP is a member society of the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA).
With a crew who has the flare for animal protection, SWAP is able to actualize its goals.
Our Vision
To become a strong and formidable organization that will successfully put a stop to all forms of animal abuse and cruelty through an outstanding participation in animal welfare activities and campaigns. To increase the status of animals in Nigeria.
Our Mission
Changing attitudes by organizing educational campaigns and projects that will ensure that the basic needs of animals are both respected and protected.
To promptly address the problems faced by animals as a result of neglect and natural/man-made disasters.
