REVIEWS FOR THIS WEEK
The Society for the Welfare of Animals Protection (SWAP), Nigeria, took humane education to a higher level. This was achieved from a workshop organised for the SWAP Compassion Forum members in both government owned and privately owned secondary schools on the 23rd of February 2008 [More]
HANDLE WITH CARE CAMPAIGN
In Nigeria, thousands of animals are transported over extremely long distances just to be slaughtered at the destination e.g. from the Northern Nigeria to the South. These animals often endure harsh weather conditions, stress, hunger and rough handling before reaching the end of their journey.

This trade is cruel and unnecessary - anmals would suffer less if they were humanely slaughtered close to home and the meat shipped instead.

To help put a stop to this act, join us to lobby governments and members of parliament, food companies, and the media. Encourage friends and family members not to partake in this cruel transport activity. [Click Here]

SWAP RE-INTRODUCES
ANTI-RABIES CAMPAIGN
The SWAP 'Kill Rabies' Campaign continues to gain momentum as SWAP sends an animal vaccination reminder to members of the public through the media. SWAP Director of Media and Publicity recently lunched the Vaccination Reminder Jingle to be soon relayed on Independent Radio, Edo State; Cosmo Radio, Enugu State; Purity FM, Anambra State.
