ENLIGHTENMENT (CARE)

Objectives of the CARE 2009

1. To unite Students nation-wide and improve their passion

for learning.

2. To create an awareness amongst Nigerians on the

essence of compassion and care for all animals.

3. To promote and encourage the use of protected forests

and National Parks than the use of Zoos.

4. To involve Parents, teachers and national Stakeholders

on forest improvement and afforestation.

5. To campaign against poaching and bushmeat trade by

setting an avenue to sensitizing the villagers.

Program Description:

The CARE 2009 is proposed to be a camp-like activity where 40 secondary school students from the 36 states in Nigeria, are invited to have a feel of the natural wonders of our planet and also learn how to both appreciate Nigeria’s vast natural endowments and learn the essence of preservation and conservation of these God-given resources.

The activities of CARE 2009 is geared towards the enlightenment of both the general public and government alike, to create with great urgency, measures of combating illegal felling of trees, bush burning, and the ever increasing animal cruelty in our nation. Also we (SWAP and her sponsors) hope to establish through this medium, a sensitivity towards the promotion tourist attraction sites in Nigeria, which is positively inclined in all aspects to building our national image.
